YCNL, the Youth Collective Newfoundland & Labrador, is a Christian not-for-profit that is managed by the Pentecostal Assemblies of Newfoundland & Labrador and a team of volunteers.
The organization began as a weekend-long conference in 200 but since then has grown into a association that begins and backs initiatives across the province and the globe. This growth developed the need for a new website that more effectively communicated the divisions of the organization and reflected the group’s new brand.
Challenge
The main challenge with YCNL came down to the functionality of their booking module. We wanted to create a registration system that functioned more like a standard e-commerce experience. The challenge with this is that many of these ‘products’ required forms that had to be filled out prior to checkout and also had to be delivered separately from the receipt.
Strategy
The solution ultimately came in the form of an interactive form builder that the client can now use to build and place forms whenever it’s necessary. By integrating these forms with our standard e-commerce platform, we were able to build a registration and sponsorship system that flows as naturally as a standard online store.
Agencies that understand their users build more effective websites. With all of our websites, we take the time at the beginning to not just understand our clients, but to understand their clientele. As we look through competitor’s websites and understand our client’s goals, we can then begin to craft our navigation, a list of functionality, and a design that ties it all together. The end result is a website meets and exceeds client goals and user expectations.
