“What does my typical workday look like?”
– Being involved throughout every stage of software development – From early brainstorming to coding, testing, and bug fixing!
– Write excellent, performant code and performing associated tests
Work on both front and back-end code
– Discuss product requirements with others

“What types of projects will I be working on?” – Glad you asked!
– Custom-built SASS applications
– WordPress websites for small and large businesses, multisite networks, social communities, and lots of social media integration.
– WordPress with E-Commerce (WooCommerce experience is a plus!)
– Membership sites with WordPress

“So, what’s it like working at JAC?” – We’ll give you the scoop!
– Monday through Friday 9am – 5pm
– This is full-time work (40 hours/week)

– Pay rate is based on experience and abilities

Minimum Requirements:
– 2+ years developing web applications
– Documented experience in front-end/back-end website development in WordPress.
– Understanding of PHP development practices
– Experience with WordPress is required. Example: building a theme from scratch is no sweat, and customizing existing frameworks is right up your alley)!
– Experienced with AWS, MYSQL (or another relational db) require.
– Experience working in an agile environment.
– Take responsibility for learning about and maintaining existing feature implementations and for developing new features within the existing application frameworks!
– Familiarity with agile processes and experience working on a software team.
– Git – we use Bitbucket.
– Team player, ability to teach as well as learn.
– Advanced level competency with CSS & HTML (SCSS, HTML5/CSS3 a big plus, as well as responsive design techniques).
– Comfort level with JavaScript, jQuery, and/or AJAX
– Experience troubleshooting browser compatibilities.
