We’re seeking a talented and experienced Intermediate Web Developer to join our award-winning development team. JAC is a cutting-edge digital marketing agency providing professional web design, web development, social media, marketing, and advertising services from St John’s, Newfoundland.

The experienced developer will work with world-class designers and developers to build cutting-edge products. Areas will include developing websites, reports, tools, and mobile and web applications that support and enhance our clients’ marketing efforts.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• • Perform all aspects of the development tasks, including front-end, back-end, and database development.
  • Adherence to the latest website accessibility and security protocols
  • Ability to cleanly separate design logic from semantic structure using CSS
  • Ability to make designs cross-browser compatible using standards-compliant markup
  • Ability to translate designer mockups into working code
  • Ability to integrate CMS platforms
  • Report to technical leads and work closely with both the Web Marketing and Development teams

Minimum Requirements:

• • Passion about working with new technologies and solving difficult technical problems
  • Three or more years of real-world web development
  • Solid experience with cross-platform W3C standards, WCAG 2.1 standards, browser compliant HTML and CSS
  • Solid experience with PHP using frameworks like WordPress & Drupal
  • Good Javascript knowledge of DOM Scripting, JavaScript event handling, XHTML, JQuery and AJAX
  • Strong MySQL query building and modeling experience
  • Familiarity with integrating popular APIs (parsing JSON, XML), experience with social media APIs beneficial
  • Familiar with Adobe, Sketch, and Axure products
  • Should be able to troubleshoot and self manage code
  • Attention to detail – clean code and precise design translation
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to meet and manage multiple deadlines
